Geotextiles offer an effective option when compared to the use of natural materials. These options can translate to savings at your jobsite. These geotextiles can be used in several applications including material seperation, drainage, filtration and soil reinforcement on projects such as roads, landfills and parking lots.
Geogrids can be used to reinforce slopes, walls and base layers. They reduce the need for more conventional designs like gradual slopes. When fill is placed on the geogrids, its design locks the soil into place, providing stability. These geogrids are generally used on embankments and other sloped areas for road construction, for pavement reinforcement in parking lots and roadways, and for bank reinforcement for ponds or other waterway areas.
Silt fence is used on residential and commercial sites where sediment control is required. Our silt fence is 3' high x 100' long, has 1-1/2" square hardwood stakes spaced at 6', and meets current Michigan DOT specifications.
In addition to the items mentioned above, U.P. Concrete Pipe Company can also provide you with other related products such as geomembrane liners & covers which can be used for contaiment of hazardous materials at landfills, or used as a pond liner. Plastic fencing is also available in different configurations and is used as a barrier for safety or for snow drift control.
